B.A. IN ROCK AND ROLL (Robert A. Wilders) All my friends went to college. All my friends they learned their trades. Become architects, cops, and lawyers. Some say they really got it made. They ask me what I’m doin’. They wonder what I’m waitin’ for. I tell ‘em I’m happy doin’ the same ol’ thing. Twistin’ and shoutin’ right across the floor. I got my.... (CHORUS) B.A. in rock and roll. Bad ass rock and roll. B.A. in rock and roll. Bad ass rock and roll-oll-oll... It’s cause I’m a bad ass. My girl friend thinks I’m lazy. Cause I can’t hold down a job. And she don’t dig my music. She’s an educated classical snob. Well I don’t need no money. And I don’t need no degree. Cause I am a certified graduate. Of the rock and roll university. I got my... (repeat chorus) My girlfriend she gets real jealous. Wants me to stop my playing around. But when the lights go out at night I show her. Just what my B.A. is all about. She knows I got my... (repeat chorus)

MIDNIGHT LOVER (Robert A. Wilders) Gonna get drunk on Pepsi Cola. Gonna get high on Lipton Tea. Gonna reach nirvana honey. Gonna sail our ship to sea. Gonna trip on down the stairway darlin’. Ride my carpet into the sky. Gonna see if we can fly babe. And if we can’t won’t you tell me why. (CHORUS) I wanna be your midnight lover. I wanna be your midnight king. I wanna be your midnight lover. I’ll play my lute and you can hear me sing. Yeah, I’ll play my lute and you can hear me sing. You be my Gypsy lady. I’ll be your Hungarian slave. We’ll go ridin’ on our stallions. Cast our nets upon the wave. We’ll put our cards on the table. Tell each other’s fortunes before we sleep. I’ll take your hand and I’ll kiss each knuckle. And watch the time slowly creep. (repeat chorus)

Nothing 06:11
NOTHING (Robert A. Wilders - adapted from a poem by Robert Burns) Never scorn a poor poet like me For idly just living and breathing. While people around of every degree. Are busy employed about----NOTHING. The lover may sparkle and grow. Approaching his wedding day romancing. But marriage will soon let him know. He’s gotten all dressed up for----NOTHING. The thundering bully may rage and storm. And swagger and swear like a heathen. But collar him fast is what I say. You’ll find that his courage is----NOTHING Last night with a feminist friend. A poet she couldn’t put her faith in. But soon we both grew lovingly big. I taught her, her fears were----NOTHING. Her friendship was wonderfully pleasing. And a charmingly tickled plaything. Her fingers I lovingly squeezed them. I kissed her and promised her----NOTHING. And now I mount upon the wave. My voyage perhaps to sink in. But what is a watery grave? The drowning of a poet is----NOTHING. NOTHING

WHEN THE NIGHT COMES ROLLIN’ IN (Robert A. Wilders) You can trip the light fantastic. Watch the cartwheels turning in the sky. Sit in your room and ponder. Ask yourself questions and wonder why. The times are slowly spinning. Coming in circles once again. What’s the use of even worrying. When the night comes rollin’ in. (CHORUS) WHEN THE NIGHT COMES ROLLIN’ IN. WHEN THE NIGHT COMES ROLLIN’ IN WHEN THE NIGHT COMES ROLLIN’ IN. WHEN THE NIGHT COMES ROLLIN’ IN I have heard the distant thunder. Seen the lightening in the sky. Watched the mighty seas a – swelling. Seen the evening sunset die. I don’t really have no answers. I sometimes think it’s a sin. But nothing really matters. When the night comes rollin’ in. (repeat Chorus) Well the beauty of the silence As it comes and fills the room. Plays havoc with your senses. Spells out your ultimate doom. I still don’t have no answers. I really do think it’s a sin. But nothing really ever matters. When the night comes rollin’ in. (repeat Chorus)

Daylight 04:59
DAYLIGHT (Robert A. Wilders) (CHORUS) Daylight. A little bit of daylight. A little bit ‘o daylight. Shinin’ ahead. Shinin’ ahead. All was dark and I was confused. All my emotions were shattered, battered, and abused. I was a blind man stumbling around. I tripped over promises and I fell to the ground. Oh I was searchin’. For a way out. I know that you know. What I’m talkin’ about. And now there’s... (repeat chorus) Almost lost my mind. I was all alone. I ran up against brick, mortar, and stone. Trapped in a maze. With no way out. I stood like a child. I tried to scream and shout. I was lookin’. To find my way. Out of this night. And in to the day. And now there’s... (repeat chorus) I stood in the middle of a raging storm. The path I was on was blocked, pitted, and worn. Confined to the shadows. With nowhere to go. I felt like a prisoner. What did I know. I was feeling anger. I was feeling sad. I really didn’t know. What it was I had. But now I do and now I see... (repeat chorus)

WHY DIDJA DO WADDJA DID? (Robert A. Wilders) Last night I saw her. She was dancing out on the floor. She moved right on past me. As I stood watching from the bar. She sat down in the corner. A new man at her side. I turned away and started walking. I stood outside and I sighed. (CHORUS) I said: Why - Why - Why Did you do what you did? Why - Why - Why Did you do what you did? I got into my car. Went driving to the other side. Saw lots of people walking on the street. But there was no one with whom I could confide. I drove to the beach. Watched the waves roaring in. I sat down in the sand. Looked up at the moon and started to sing... (repeat chorus) Watched a seagull flying. He was floating on the air. Wished I could have been up there with him. Just soaring without a care. I drove to the nearest bar. Watched this band play their song. I saw the guitar picker picking. I drank my beer, I sang along. We sang: Why - Why - Why Did you do what you did? Why - Why - Why Did you do what you did?

QUEEN OF ROCK AND ROLL (Robert A. Wilders) She’s a dance hall beauty. A prima donna on ice. She sparkles like a ruby. Her lips entice. She got spider-like fingers. And a tongue like a snake. She’ll put you through the ringer. Make your body shake. (CHORUS) She’s the queen The queen of rock and roll. She’s so obscene The queen of rock and roll. The queen of rock and roll. The stage is her palace. And the road’s her home. From New York to Dallas. She’s a rolling stone. She wears her tight blue jeans. Like a second skin. She started in her teens. She’ll do it again and again. (repeat chorus) Watch her body shimmer. In the heat of the light. She’s a low down sinner. The way she plays with the mike. She got spider-like fingers. And a tongue like a snake. She’ll put you through the ringer. Make your body shake. (repeat chorus)

ALL I WANT IS YOU (Robert Alan Wilders) Ah, baby you make my little bird sing. Ah, honey you can do anything. Ah, baby why don’t you slide real close. Come on honey let’s loosen up some of these clothes. Then I’ll show you just what to do. I don’t want nobody else ALL I WANT IS YOU. Ah, honey you can drive my car. Ah, honey no matter how far. We can park out in the woods. Your intention is clearly understood. That’s why what I tell you know it’s true. I don’t want nobody else ALL I WANT IS YOU. Ah, baby I ain’t like all those other fellas. No, honey you don’t have to be jealous. Other women may come paradin’ by. They may give me a look they may even give me the eye. They have no idea no they haven’t got a clue. I don’t want nobody else ALL I WANT IS YOU. So, baby you make my little bird sing. Ah, honey you can do anything. Ah, baby why don’t you slide real close. Come on honey let’s loosen up some of these clothes. Then I’ll show you just what to do. I don’t want nobody else ALL I WANT IS YOU.

Not Quite So 03:48
NOT QUITE SO (Robert A. Wilders) Things may be bad. Things may be rotten. You may have received things you wished you hadn’t gotten. You may feel low. But it’s not quite so. There may be trouble. There may be strife. You may have wished for some other person’s life. There may be another mile to go. But it’s not quite so. (CHORUS) No it’s not quite so. No it’s not quite so. You may think it’s bad. But it’s not quite so. No it’s not quite so. You may be down in deep despair. Think of givin’ up cause no one seems to care. Your closest friends don’t really know. But it’s not quite so. You may think that you are all alone. You may wish you had a heart of stone. And there’s no where you can go. But it’s not quite so. (repeat chorus) Hey listen here honey don’t feel so sad. It’s not as bad as you think. I’m here to lift you up little darlin’. When you feel like you’re goin’ to sink. You may be blue in a lovesick mood. Your soul may be starving for romantic food. And you think the answer is “NO”. But it’s not quite so. (repeat chorus)

CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT (Robert A. Wilders) Well I’m in trouble. Need some kind of help. Got a problem. Won’t anybody help? Call Captain Midnight she’s always on the prowl. Well I’m in deep six and there’s no way out. Need a solution. What’s it all about? Call Captain Midnight she’s always on the prowl. Oh - oh - oh - oh Baby. Is there no one who can save me? Well I’m out of luck. Don’t know where to turn. It’s a catastrophe. Won’t I ever learn. Call Captain Midnight she’s always on the prowl. Well here I sit now with this phone in hand. No one to listen, no one to understand. Call Captain Midnight she’s always on the prowl. Oh - oh - oh - oh Baby. Is there no one who can save me? I’m in trouble. Need some kind of help. Got a problem. Won’t anybody help? Call Captain Midnight she’s always on the prowl. Call Captain Midnight she’s always on the prowl. Call Captain Midnight she’s always on the prowl.

BY THE RIVER, BY THE SEA (Robert A. Wilders) She holds her diamonds in the light. She wears her dresses tight. Makes my life worth living. By the river, by the sea. (CHORUS) By the river, by the sea. By the river, by the sea. By the river, by the sea. By the river, by the sea. Tell me where did she go? Where’d she go with that man? She must have taken him. By the river, by the sea. (repeat chorus) I followed them both there. Yes I followed them there. Took my gun and shot them both down. There by the river, by the sea. (repeat chorus) They built the gallows tall. They placed the noose around my neck. They asked me if I had one last wish. I said yes bury me by the river, by the sea. (repeat chorus)
